In the US, it’s cool to be a redhead. But I had some Brit friends I was working with in Thailand and they kept calling me “ginger” and one guy was a redhead and he said, “Oh, I get made fun of all the time in England.” I thought they were pulling my leg but I was at the airport waiting to fly home and I heard, “Ginger, ginger!” And there were these British guys, calling me “ginger”.
