    This came up on my facebook today. While you’re probably busy enjoying your Saturday by having a late lunch or watching back-to-back episodes of Breaking Bad, do not forget that some very misguided young adult is toiling away in paint creating jpegs TO DEFEND THEIR HETEROSEXUAL LIFESTYLE. WWJD? Surely post things like this up on his facebook, I can safely assume. This person & the people tagged in the image live in my home town and I can’t even begin to explain how regularly this sort of hilariously bad propaganda pops up from them on facebook - they have a particular fondness for calling out the “gay agenda” and are convinced they’re defending their beliefs (or should I say “believes!”) against this oppressive bunch of dirty homos who dare to challenge the questionable institution of marriage. I commented my HAHAHAHA et al because does something like this deserve any other sort of response? The poster and tagged go to church and define themselves as being Christians. Which is fine, I don’t care what people believe in - you should have religious freedom. A+, good for you, etc. ANYWAY, I was best friends with many Christians at high school, I went to church, I dated and loved Christian boys, I was knee deep AND definitely believed that I was a Christian but being an agnostic deep down meant ALL of this sat awkwardly in the back of my mind. This is a perfect example of why I do not have any regrets of not being involved in a church. All I really have to say is that  I’m well aware of the way the bible and Jesus (all them ones) instruct people to behave, yet according to these people who claim they follow Jesus’s teachings - creating and posting things like this is apparently perfectly acceptable. From my days of Christian youth I developed a fondness for the music, especially Jars of Clay, Skillet and Brooke Fraser but of course, DC TALK REIGN SUPREME!! But seriously, they quote Brennan Manning at the start of “What If I Stumble?”: The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.” Amen. -Talia
